Uganda’s National Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory (NTRL) digitized its action management, moving from a restrictive paper-based system to a robust electronic platform. Launched in 2017 and fully adopted by 2022, the in-house web-based AMS eliminated the risks of the previous paper system including lost files, physical location dependency, and vulnerability to disasters such as fires.

Supports ISO 15189 compliance through structured non-conformity tracking and resolution.
System sends automated notifications for pending actions, deadlines, and escalations.
Role-based access control ensures only authorised personnel can view and action items.
