
The Uganda Supranational TB Reference Laboratory (SRL) supports the National TB Programs (NTP) through leadership and expert guidance. This includes supporting laboratories to perform conventional and new World Health Organization (WHO) endorsed Tuberculosis (TB) diagnostic techniques in a bid to provide quality laboratory services and contribute to accelerated progress towards the End TB Strategy.
The Uganda Supranational Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory (SRL) welcomed laboratory managers from 20 countries and National TB Program managers from 7 countries for a five-day hands-on External Quality Assurance (EQA) capacity building training held in Kampala, Uganda. The training focuses on strengthening laboratory quality systems, TB drug susceptibility testing, and the validation of newly WHO-endorsed TB diagnostic technologies in preparation for implementation across participating countries.
